Recently, the mosquito control operations in Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province, have caused dissatisfaction among many people. After media reports, Jiangmen issued a reminder letter regarding the prevention and correction of negative behaviors in epidemic prevention and control.
This reminder letter has a total of 22 articles.
And these 22 articles, where are they reminder letters? They are clearly 22 major charges.
Each one of them provokes public anger and resentment, disrupting and destroying things in the name of epidemic prevention.
If we look closely at these 22 articles, would a normal person commit these acts for the sake of mosquitoes?
1. Do not arbitrarily cut down trees under the pretext of epidemic prevention and control.
I saw a video before, where someone’s trees that had been planted for many years were cut down in the name of mosquitoes. You know, ordinary people have to apply to the relevant departments if they want to cut down the trees in their own yards. But in epidemic prevention, they can cut them down at will. Is it because trees can provide a place for mosquitoes to land? Other small animals such as birds and squirrels will also make trees their home. Cutting them down like this is really like wielding a feather as an arrow.
2. Do not kill pets under the pretext of epidemic prevention and control.
This has also happened before. What does pets have to do with mosquitoes? During the COVID-19 period, pets were killed. Now, in the name of mosquitoes, they want to do this again. It has nothing to do with it, but they can still mess around under the pretext of epidemic prevention.
3. Do not illegally enter residents’ homes, vehicles, houses, and other private areas.
In residents’ homes, wind can enter, rain can enter, but the king cannot enter. Mosquitoes can enter, flies can enter, but epidemic prevention cannot enter.
4. Do not illegally dispose of other people’s property, such as green plants, etc.
These epidemic prevention personnel, in the name of mosquitoes, enter residents’ homes, pour out water, take away green plants, and destroy gardens. Even many valuable flowers and plants are harmed. To put it bluntly, this is the destruction of private property.
5. Do not illegally collect personal information, and relevant information shall not be used for purposes other than epidemic prevention and control.
6. Do not arbitrarily disseminate pictures and videos of residents’ homes on the Internet.
7. Do not impose administrative penalties without permission or beyond the scope of authority.
They use their power to pressure people at every turn, forcing residents to cooperate with this series of absurd behaviors.
8. Do not make excessive promises to villagers and make arbitrary promises regarding epidemic prevention matters.
9. Do not implement ineffective control measures such as filling in fish ponds and draining artificial lakes.
This is really killing mosquitoes in the city and harming the fish in the moat. Draining fish ponds and artificial lakes in the name of mosquitoes, they can do this, I’m really impressed. Why not drain the Pearl River?
10. Do not force enterprises to drain fire pools, cooling water tanks, and production water storage tanks, etc.
In the name of mosquitoes, they harm enterprises. This group of people can really do anything.
11. Do not disinfect agricultural markets during business hours.
Spraying insecticides everywhere, regardless of time and place, spraying vegetables, fruits, and meat with insecticides. How should we eat?
12. Do not carry out unannounced disinfection in crowded areas.
The people who disinfect wear gas masks. They are not afraid of poisoning, but they spray wildly at the crowd. Is this a shallow revenge on society?
13-20, basically belong to the use specifications of insecticides, do not spray on tableware, do not spray on animals, do not use highly toxic insecticides, do not change the concentration.
21-22, do not force enterprises to carry out high-frequency disinfection and interfere with enterprise production.
