Tongcheng School | Secretary Gong, who fell on “New Year’s Eve”, was dismissed and investigated with 13 characters, is it unfair?

Some say that Lei Zhenfu, the former Party Secretary of Beipei District, Chongqing, was not worth it, exchanging 12 seconds for 13 years in prison. In my opinion, Gong Xinyu, the former Party Secretary of Qianhuang Town, Wujin District, Changzhou, is even more of an unlucky fellow, exchanging 13 words for dismissal and investigation. Although Secretary Lei only had 12 seconds, he did enjoy it, but Secretary Gong didn’t even get to see what his beloved “bath” looked like before he fell on New Year’s Eve, not even waiting for New Year’s Day 2025. Secretary Gong started working at 21 and worked hard until 52 to get a “city-managed cadre,” but now, because of a 13-word message, his promising career has come to an end.

This is truly, 31 years to become a deputy section chief, and a text message ruins everything. Gong Xinyu was dismissed on New Year’s Eve, and it’s been 6 days since then. Excluding New Year’s Day and the weekend, there are only two working days left for the investigation team. It shouldn’t be difficult to find out the truth about Secretary Gong’s inappropriate remarks in two days, unless it leads to other violations of discipline and law, then that’s another matter.

On the surface, Secretary Gong is just the Party Secretary of Qianhuang Town, Wujin District, at the section level, but in fact, he is a “city-managed cadre.” Just two months before the incident, Secretary Gong was publicized by the Municipal Party Committee Organization Department and was to be promoted to a “deputy section-level cadre of a national-level development zone.” In other words, before the incident, Secretary Gong was no longer a district-managed cadre, but a genuine Changzhou city-managed leading cadre.

A city-managed cadre is under organizational investigation. According to the management relationship of cadres, the relevant departments of Changzhou should issue a notice, but instead, the “Situation Notice” was issued by the Wujin District Rong Media Center “Today Wujin,” which seems inappropriate. If “Today Wujin” must issue the notice, it is not impossible, but it must be made clear. Therefore, after studying this “Situation Notice,” the author found that there are many flaws, and roughly counted four:

1. “After research and decision,” who did the research and who made the decision, the notice didn’t say;

2. “Remove him from his relevant positions,” which unit has the authority to remove Secretary Gong from his relevant positions, the notice didn’t say;

3. “Accepting organizational investigation,” which level of organization department is investigating Secretary Gong, the notice is vague;

4. The biggest flaw is that the notice doesn’t even have the name of the issuing unit. In summary, this notice is definitely unqualified, but it is obviously impossible to withdraw and rewrite it.
