On January 5th, a student fell to their death at the new campus of the Vocational Education Center in Pucheng County, Shaanxi Province. The family of the deceased student, Dang, posted on a short video platform, stating that on January 2nd at 3 a.m., they received a call from the child’s homeroom teacher informing them that something had happened to Dang at school, and at 7 a.m., they were told that Dang had fallen to their death. On the night of the 5th, the Pucheng County Joint Investigation Team released a situation report on the matter: At approximately 3 a.m. on January 2, 2025, an accident occurred when a student fell from the school building at the new campus of the Pucheng County Vocational Education Center. The school immediately called 120 and 110 to report the incident. After receiving the report, the police immediately rushed to the scene. After the 120 emergency center arrived at the scene, they declared that the person involved had no vital signs. After identification by teachers and students, the student was Dang, a third-year (7) class student of the school.
Most public opinion expresses belief in the investigation by the public security organs, stating that they do not believe or spread rumors, and also believe that the school has handled student conflicts inappropriately, hoping that the school will strengthen student psychological care in the future.

Although the Pucheng County Joint Investigation Team has released a situation report regarding the student’s fall from the school building, some public opinion still does not believe the content of the report. Netizens question the school and relevant departments sending the student to the funeral home for cremation, believing that they are eager to destroy evidence.
