On November 14th, students from Beijing Central University of Finance and Economics initiated a request for help on the internet. The reason is that Zhou Yuchen, a senior female student at the university, accidentally fell off her electric bicycle at the intersection of Yaojiayuan Road and Huawen West Road in Chaoyang District between 8:20 and 8:40 am on November 13th, and was subsequently run over and killed by a police car. However, the police stated that they could not provide the dashcam video from the police car due to technical reasons. Therefore, the students had to initiate a relay, seeking the dashcam footage of that day on the internet. But so far, this request for help has been continuously deleted on Xiaohongshu and Weibo.
Classmates, I am very sorry to disturb you so late, and it is even more regrettable to tell you a very sad news that our dear classmate—Zhou Yuchen, was involved in a sudden car accident on the way to work yesterday morning, and unfortunately passed away after resuscitation. @everyone
Currently, it is in the stage of accident handling and responsibility determination, and the process of handling the aftermath will only begin after completion. A small memorial service will be arranged at that time, and the specific time will be notified again, so that convenient classmates can attend.
However, there are currently obstacles in restoring the truth of the matter: the time of Zhou Yuchen’s accident was 8:32 am on November 13th, the location was the intersection of Yaojiayuan Road and Huawen West Road in Chaoyang District. After Ms. Zhou Yuchen fell off her electric bicycle, she was run over and killed by a police car. Now the police cannot provide the video due to technical reasons, which is very unfavorable for the determination of accident responsibility.
So now, we are entrusted by the aunt to increase the exposure through the online platform, and ask for the dashcam video of passing vehicles from 8:20 to 8:40 am on that day on various platforms. We have already released Weibo and multiple Xiaohongshu posts, hoping that everyone can forward, comment, and like them to increase some traffic. The person is gone, but we sincerely hope to find the truth.
