Xue Wei | Tong Weidong Incident

Tong Weidong is the director of the String Department of the Central Conservatory of Music, and has recently attracted widespread attention due to accusations of sexual assault on students and corruption in admissions. The incident was triggered by Xue Wei, a former violin professor at the Central Conservatory of Music, who publicly accused Tong Weidong on Weibo, claiming that he sexually assaulted students and accepted bribes during the admissions process. Xue Wei offered a reward of 500,000 yuan to encourage other victims to come forward and testify against Tong Weidong.

According to reports, Xue Wei accused Tong Weidong of obtaining positions and admission quotas through bribery and sexual services, claiming that he charged high fees in these transactions, such as a transaction price of up to 1.5 million yuan for a professorship. Xue Wei also stated that he received some death threats after he published the accusations.

The Central Conservatory of Music stated that it would conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and declared that it would hold anyone who violated the law criminally liable, while reserving the right to take legal action against false accusations. Tong Weidong denied all the accusations and said he would take legal action to defend his reputation.
