Public resumes show that Tang Yijun is of Han nationality, born in March 1961, from Juxian County, Shandong Province, joined work in July 1977, joined the Communist Party of China in October 1985, and has a postgraduate degree from the Central Party School.
Tang Yijun was a former educated youth and worked in Zhejiang for 40 years from 1977 to 2017. In October 2017, Tang Yijun went north to Liaoning and became the head of the provincial government.
In April 2020, Tang Yijun was transferred to Beijing and was appointed as the second minister after the Ministry of Justice was re-established in China. It is worth noting that at that time, Liu Zhiqiang had already served as the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Justice, and Tang Yijun became his leader.
