Recently, residents of Hezhou Town, Qidong County, Hengyang City, Hunan Province, reported to the Finger Tip Client that on the morning of March 4 this year, a man broke into Sanyou Elementary School in Hezhou Town and injured two female students who were eating breakfast with a knife, resulting in one death and one injury. The assailant was captured the same day after fleeing.

On March 12, the village secretary of Sanyou Village said that the assailant was not a villager of the village. Currently, the local government, police, and local education authorities have not commented on the matter.

According to local residents, the incident occurred between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. that day, which was breakfast time. After the murderer entered the school, he went directly to the cafeteria. When Principal Lei of Sanyou Elementary School arrived at the scene, a 7-year-old female student had been stabbed several times in the head by the murderer and died on the spot.
