The long-awaited Russian classic “Katyusha” was sung on the ruins of the Mariupol Drama Theater, performed by a Chinese folk singer named Wang Fang (sound).
Russian songs were heard on the ruins of the occupied Ukrainian city, and the singer was actually Chinese? Is this rather brain-burning information true or false? Just when everyone was confused, on September 7, @Russian Sputnik News confirmed the news on Weibo.

Of course, it’s far more than just singing a song. While Chinese singer Wang Fang (sound)’s “deep” performance became popular online, it also caused dissatisfaction from the Ukrainian government, which posted on Facebook demanding that the Chinese government explain this.

Online information also revealed that, according to a spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, those who illegally entered Mariupol, the occupied area, also included some “bloggers” from China, and hoped that the Chinese government would explain the purpose of these people’s stay in Donetsk Mariupol.
As we all know, China has always maintained neutrality on the issue of the Russia-Ukraine war and supports the principle of respecting the territorial integrity of sovereign states. Accordingly, Wang Fang (sound) and others entered the occupied area of Ukraine and performed the Russian song “Katyusha”, which obviously had a certain ideological color, hurt the national feelings of the Ukrainian people, and to a large extent created a confrontational mood between China and Ukraine.
However, in the face of such a major international event, the person involved does not seem to care, and even shows an unusually excited pride.
Yesterday (September 8), when people were guessing who the singer Wang Fang on the ruins was, Zhou Xiaoping, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, claimed on Weibo that the singer of “Katyusha” was his wife, and said that he “firmly supports my wife’s brave and fearless behavior”, and praised his wife as “the rose of the battlefield”.

Personal behavior induces diplomatic disputes between two countries, even an idiot knows the danger of doing so. Zhou Xiaoping, who has always been hot-headed, also vaguely felt afraid afterwards, and quickly made another explanation: Wang Fang has no political identity and visited Mariupol at the invitation of a Chinese ordinary resident. As for “invited by what institution”, there was no explanation.

Many people know that the internet celebrity Zhou Xiaoping is almost unrestricted in hyping himself. In order to become famous, he often exposes his own ignorant shortcomings, such as the origin of his “belt fish” title. Before publicly supporting his wife’s performance in Mariupol, he didn’t even know that the Russian army killed more than 600 people when they occupied the Mariupol Drama Theater last year, including many children.

Standing on the ruins of more than 600 souls, singing encouraging songs for the act of aggression, the damage to the Ukrainian nation is not comparable to appearing in a certain place wearing the wrong clothes. And such behavior was supported by Zhou Xiaoping, who has the identity of a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. I don’t know whether to admire this kind of ignorance or to worry about this kind of fearless spirit?
Zhou Xiaoping’s wife, Wang Fang, sang a song to make herself happy, but put a huge China in a diplomatic embarrassment. What the consequences are is unknown, but the estrangement between China and Ukraine will probably be formed from now on. How much effort is needed to repair such estrangement is imaginable.
In this regard, even Hu Xijin couldn’t stand it anymore, expressing his disapproval of doing so, and said bluntly: This is not what China needs.

Of course, in this matter, Hu Xijin retained his consistent cunning, and told everyone with a hint of depreciation that this was just the personal behavior of Zhou Xiaoping and Wang Fang. That’s right, I also think this is the personal behavior of Zhou Xiaoping and Wang Fang. But Zhou Xiaoping’s personal strength is already a god-like existence, and this is no longer a problem that can be easily resolved with a sentence of “personal responsibility”.
Discussing this matter today has no other meaning. I just want to say, when rectifying social chaos, shouldn’t people like the energy internet celebrity Zhou Xiaoping also restrain themselves? After all, the rise and development of China, lacking strong external support, cannot achieve the goal by relying solely on internal-volume-style traffic. The ideological flow of internet celebrity forms represented by Zhou Xiaoping can stop! (Da Mo Yu’s Thoughts)
