Weibo | Sea of Flowers Mourning in Front of Qiqihar No. 34 Middle School

On July 23, a gymnasium at the No. 34 Middle School in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province, collapsed, resulting in 11 deaths, including 10 students and a volleyball coach. According to reports, the school’s construction contractor illegally piled perlite, a building material used to repair the comprehensive teaching building, on the roof of the gymnasium months ago. The perlite absorbed water and increased in weight, ultimately causing the gymnasium roof to exceed its load capacity and collapse. At the time of the incident, the school’s girls’ volleyball team was training inside the gymnasium.

After the accident, a large number of citizens spontaneously offered bouquets, canned yellow peaches, snacks, volleyballs, and other offerings at the gate of No. 34 Middle School to express their condolences to the deceased.

However, some netizens found that multiple Weibo topics related to the Qiqihar gymnasium collapse have been “not displayed in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies,” and many photos of memorial scenes taken by netizens at the school gate have also been blocked.

Some of the Weibo topics that have been banned include: “Sea of flowers in front of Qiqihar No. 34 Middle School Memorial”, “11 Deaths in Qiqihar No. 34 Middle School Gymnasium Collapse”, “We Should Not Remain Silent About the Qiqihar Incident”, “The Mother of the Girl Who Died in Qiqihar Cries in the Street”, and “Parents of the Qiqihar Collapse Incident Denounce Hospitals for Not Allowing Identification of the Bodies”.

Siyu s: I studied law in college, and I’ve never heard of such a law. I don’t know which law the terms about the sea of flowers in Qiqihar violate. I’ve also never heard that the death certificates of the elderly who died from COVID are not allowed to be truthfully written according to the law. These flexible legal provisions, the teachers didn’t teach them.

-HAO Yiyi-: #Sea of flowers in front of Qiqihar No. 34 Middle School Memorial# In the end, the parents will only be forced to bow their heads, and then forever lose their own flesh and blood, a shadow that they will never be able to live out of. Doesn’t the authorities see it? Is the wind too strong to hear the voices of the people?

Careless man: “No viewing permissions”, “The content of this topic is not displayed”…
The disappearing hot searches: The cold ruins, the murderous perpetrators, the inhumane follow-up operations, the anxious parents, the children who will never wake up again…

@PRND21:
In the past two days, some people (let’s assume they are people) suddenly emerged, and they are cursing the flowers, canned food, and milk tea in front of the school in Qiqihar as “waste”.
I am mostly an atheist, otherwise, there should be a divine soldier descending with a dump truck to make a righteous judgment on these rascals, first crushing their lower halves to let them enjoy it for a while, and then crushing the rest of the stinking flesh in a minute!
What is waste?
A table of delicacies costs 88,000 yuan, and the leaders of our shoddy construction team just move their chopsticks a few times, “We still need your support for our team”;
A road is paved and dug up, dug up and paved, and it’s still full of potholes after 10 years.
This is a waste, and of course, it’s not just a waste.
And those flowers, those canned food and milk tea,
They are never a waste,
Because they represent the mourning—their departure is regrettable, lamentable, full of regrets, and also makes many people with children feel a chill down their spines because God knows how many similar fatal dangers and the positive energy of those who are helping the evildoers are waiting for themselves and their children in the unknown fog.
“I’ll die, and exchange my child back” is just a wishful thinking of many parents, and in most cases, there is no such option at all.
Some people should die but live so well, some children should grow up safely but are separated by life and death, some parents should say “Eat more to grow up!” at this moment, but life is only left with darkness, until the end of life.
Now these people are going to put a hat on the expression of mourning: Why are you still remembering this? Are they really concerned about “waste” or not? I don’t think so.
What they care about is that you really treat the deceased, the widows, yourself, and your children as human beings.
After all, they live by eating corpses,
Living people and dead people, they all have to eat.
