On May 15th, the CCTV Finance WeChat public account released a quick news item, “NATO Secretary General says he will not seek re-election after his term expires this year.” However, the title of the article was ridiculed by some netizens for allegedly insulting Xi Jinping. As everyone knows, Xi Jinping abolished the term limits for the state president in 2018 and began his third term in March 2023, which led to netizens’ ridicule of “unlimited refills” and “unlimited re-election.”

A few hours later, some netizens found that CCTV Finance had deleted the original article “It’s confirmed! He will not seek re-election after his term expires”, and opening the article will prompt “This content has been deleted by the publisher.”

Obviously, this deletion was only aimed at the title of the article. After searching, the same news published on other platforms can be browsed normally because they did not use the “implicit title.”
