In 2021, we followed up on the pollution issues of Henan Puyang Tianneng Group in the heavy metal rural tour. Senior researcher Pingxi conducted field visits and collected samples of wheat and other plants and soil from five villages near the industrial park: Luanchanghu Village (0.55km from the industrial park), Zhou Village (1.87km from the industrial park), Dakouzhai Village (1.20km from the industrial park), Xihezai Village (1.49km from the industrial park), and Rong Village (1.28km from the industrial park) for testing. The tests revealed that the lead content in plant samples (wheat, paper mulberry fruit, honeysuckle, etc.) taken within two kilometers was severely exceeded.
After sampling and testing
The lead in local wheat exceeded the standard by up to 18.8 times

Referring to the GB 2762-2017 national food safety standard for grains of 0.2mg/kg, in 2022, senior researcher Tianxi went to the local area to assist villagers in collecting blood for blood lead testing… Finally, the blood samples of 36 villagers tested in Shijiazhuang Dean Medical Inspection Laboratory were all qualified for lead! However, of the 5 blood samples sent to a laboratory in Wuhan, 2 had excessive lead levels, and 3 were close to exceeding the standard!

According to public information, currently the only village that has completed relocation is Xinchengzhai Village (not the rumored “multiple villages have been relocated”), and Hutuo Village is the only current case being promoted. Villages around Tianneng (such as Luanchanghu) have not started relocation. The government clearly admits that the second/third phase projects have been suspended due to “financial affordability”, not due to a single factor of the epidemic or policy.

Villagers: When will Dahezhai Village be relocated? It’s been said for five or six years, and there’s still no progress Smelling the smell of the factory on Huanghe Road all day longPuyang Industrial Park: First of all, thank you for your attention to the development of the industrial park and the relocation of villages. Secondly, the leaders of the park attach great importance to the issue of when Dahezhai Village will be relocated, which you reflected in the online mailbox, and require relevant departments to investigate and implement it. The reply on the relocation issue is as follows: The industrial park originally planned to implement three phases of shantytown renovation and relocate all 23 villages. Due to policy, funding, and financial affordability reasons, the second and third phase projects of the shantytown renovation have been temporarily cancelled. Currently, only the first phase of the shantytown renovation project has been implemented, and some plots have basically met the conditions for occupancy, and only Xinchengzhai Village has been relocated and occupied. Because the project has not been fully completed and accepted, it is temporarily not suitable for relocation and occupancy. The industrial park will implement relocation in batches and villages according to the progress of the construction of the resettlement housing, the situation of the villages, and development needs, according to the order of priority. The specific time of village relocation shall be subject to the official notice (or document).
