On May 13, 2025, 15-year-old Liu Jinglei sent a request for help to the “Victim Rescue Team of Special Training Correction Schools” through the Bilibili platform, mainly to seek assistance for her classmates. Subsequently, she joined the team’s investigation and rescue operation targeting a school in Guizhou.
On May 22, 2025, Liu Jinglei sent an urgent help message to the rescue team members, saying that three men claiming to be from the “Internet Supervision Department” had entered her home. She sent the message while using the opportunity to go to the toilet and then lost contact.
After that, the rescue team members went to the local area and confirmed in the monitoring room of her community that Liu Jinglei was taken away by three people around 13:30 on May 22, with the license plate number Gui C7Y739, but her whereabouts were unknown.
On May 29, 2025, the B station account “Fan Dujing” received information confirming that Liu Jinglei was at the Guizhou Gengli Study and Practice Base (Guizhou Gengli Culture Communication Co., Ltd.).
On the morning of June 9, 2025, “Fan Dujing” released a video about the experiences of Liu Jinglei and the victims of Guizhou Gengli.
At 6 p.m. that day, Liu Jinglei called the “Fan Dujing” blogger using an unfamiliar mobile phone. She firmly stated in the call that she was “injured and bullied”, but before she could finish speaking, she was interrupted by a person claiming to be a police officer from the police station, who took away the phone and denied any persecution.
At noon on June 10, 2025, the rescue team members received a voice call from Liu Jinglei. In the conversation, it was obvious that Liu Jinglei was coerced by Guizhou Gengli. The phone call mainly included two parts: the first was to ask for the contact information of the Fan Dujing blogger, and the second was that the instructor directly asked to remove the video in exchange for Liu Jinglei leaving in August.
On the evening of June 10, 2025, a victim who was also from Guizhou Gengli contacted the rescue team, saying that they wanted to report the company for illegal schooling (according to Article 30 of the “Regulations on the Administration of Enterprise Legal Person Registration”), and there were illegal detention, intentional injury to minors and students, and the circumstances were very bad. At the same time, there were more than a dozen other victims that the rescue team was contacting.
