611Study refers to “6 a.m. to school, 11 p.m. dismissal, ICU when sick.” This is a common mandatory requirement for junior and senior high schools in China now. Countless junior and senior high school students are thus suffering from both physical and mental health torture. We hope to help Chinese students get rid of this schedule that is worse than prison through this project, and have a healthy and happy childhood.
As of now, https://611Study.ICU has received a total of 382 submissions from students from 341 schools across the country. Among them, 105 schools have less than 10 days of winter vacation, 34 have less than 7 days, and 5 have less than 2 days. The average number of vacation days per month for these schools is 2.97 days, 5% of the schools have no more than 2 days of vacation per month, and 75% of the schools have less than 4 days of vacation per month. There are 152 schools with student suicides, accounting for 42.34% of all schools. In terms of the number of schools on the “Shame List”, the top 5 provinces are: Shandong (45 schools), Henan (36 schools), Guangdong (27 schools), Hebei (26 schools) and Zhejiang (22 schools).
