2026 will be the fifth year of my rights protection. Four years ago, I only wanted to protect my legitimate rights and interests through the law, but this road has been extremely difficult. Two civil cases that should have been clear and straightforward, due to jurisdictional errors, fabricated evidence, and procedural violations, have led to an irreversible abyss in the Xining County Court of Hunan.
1. Case Background
These two cases should have been under the jurisdiction of my place of residence (or the place of the incident, Gansu and Xinjiang), but they were forcibly accepted by the Xining Court (by splitting the plaintiff into the plaintiff and the defendant). Key evidence was artificially classified as false, while some materials that did not need to be identified were issued with false reports by accounting firms. What’s even more puzzling is that the court chose to avoid the key links of the identification.
The first instance, the second instance, and the retrial, the procedures went round and round, but the result was empty. The original judgment opinions of the collegiate panel of the Shaoyang Intermediate Court were interfered with by the leaders of the court, and were finally forcibly changed by the Shaoyang Intermediate Court’s adjudication committee. This pattern of protecting corruption with power made me deeply feel that the law is sometimes played with by power.
2. The Chain of Judicial Corruption
In the process of the case trial, I met Judge Ning Shaojun of the Shaoyang Intermediate Court. He not only had the behavior of soliciting bribes, but also openly favored the other party in the case trial. In March 2024, I complained to the third inspection team of the province; in May of the same year, the Shaoyang Discipline Inspection Commission accepted the case; in October, Ning Shaojun was suspended from his duties. By October 27, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Shaoyang People’s Congress revoked his positions as deputy presiding judge and judge.
However, until today, I have not received any formal reply to my complaint.
3. The Dilemma of Rights Protection
Since 2024, I have successively submitted complaint materials to the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuratorate, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, the National People’s Congress, and also applied to the Hunan Provincial Procuratorate, the Hunan Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission and the Hunan Provincial High Court for supervision. But most of the complaints are like a stone sinking into the sea, with no news.
The review application of the Provincial Procuratorate should be completed within 6 months as required, but my case has been delayed for two years and three months, and there is still no conclusion.
4. The Feelings of an Ordinary Person
I am not a legal expert, nor am I a media person, but an ordinary citizen. Faced with such a judicial environment, I know that my strength is weak. But when the law cannot protect me, when the complaint is not answered, I can only choose to record all this in writing, so that more people know that behind the glamorous system, there is also such a chilling reality.
Deleting three articles about “tigers” is not because I don’t want to speak out, but because every time I speak out, it may touch the interests of some people, and thus be deleted, blocked, and ignored. But I still believe that the truth will not always be silent.
Five years of rights protection, what I have lost is not only time and money, but also trust in judicial justice. But I also understand that if people like me choose to remain silent, the problem will never be seen. I hope that my experience can become a mirror, so that more people can dare to stand up when they encounter injustice, and also give the system itself a chance to be reflected upon and corrected.
