The articles about the flood and the mixed oil incident were all deleted yesterday.
If you ask me how I feel about the deletion of the text I wrote after several hours of hard work, I don’t feel angry, but rather absurd.
Because my article was mainly asking questions instead of providing answers, and the main content was about the “disappearance of news.” I didn’t establish any viewpoints in the whole article, nor did I try to restore the truth of the disaster – I don’t have that ability either.
I was just constantly questioning why, in recent years, news about disasters has become increasingly scarce, and why it’s becoming more and more difficult for us to understand the full picture of various disaster accidents?
Besides this, I also expressed the “disappearance of questioning.”
Not only has the news disappeared, but so has the questioning. All that’s left around us is silence, so silent that you often don’t know what’s happening on this land, and no one shouts: What exactly happened?
Only a vast expanse of white silence.
Previously, it was the degradation of news and selective reporting; now, it’s the complete disappearance and concealment of news.
The reason I say it’s absurd is because the deletion of my article just happened to coincide with the theme of the article – the voice questioning why the news disappeared also disappeared.
This is a “ban on speech cycle.” If I continue to question: why has questioning also disappeared? Will this ban on questioning itself continue?
In the end, what we will reap is complete silence. In this situation, questioning itself is wrong, questioning the questioning and questioning the questioning of questioning is also wrong.
So this is an era of banning keywords.
We cannot expose any words that could lead to associations; therefore, the root of this ban is the hope that you will stop thinking – why do you need to think? You only need to accept what is being instilled, any thoughts you have will be dangerous and may touch the keywords.
I burst out laughing: Are we all living in such an era?
“Everything is subject to the official press release,” this has become the norm of our time. What is an official press release? It’s a predetermined “tone,” not the news itself; what it shows is only a comforting explanation. As for the content of the explanation, it is pre-set according to public opinion requirements, and it is also the most conducive to stability.
This stability comes from the fact that you don’t need to know the truth – and this has completely deviated from the original intention of news, because the reason news was born and exists is to get as close to the truth as possible.
So, what they ultimately need is to stop all brain activity.
You only need to live, live according to the “official press release” they stipulate. In that official press release, there are no disasters and dangers, even if there are some accidents, they are just the prelude to the celebration; there is no need to question the cause of the disaster, because they will never make mistakes, and the causes are all natural.
So you can’t think about the keywords, because these words will constantly guide your imagination, thereby reaching the ultimate question: Is someone making a mistake? Is someone trying to cover up this mistake?
This is undoubtedly an upgrade of restrictions – in the past, you just couldn’t privately provide answers to public events, because that would be classified as a rumor. So I rarely speculate on the truth regarding public events.
But now, even questioning is unsustainable. You can only choose to remain silent.
Perhaps in the future, there will be an “official press release for questioning,” and you can only ask prescribed questions on prescribed topics, and these questions are all “positive energy.”
For example, regarding the Chinese economy, you can only ask how good the future will be, but you can’t ask about any hidden worries; regarding public events, you can only ask about the successful reasons for the progress of the handling, but you can’t ask if there are any human factors.
In fact, the title of my article yesterday was just questioning whether there were any human factors. It seems that this kind of questioning is also a forbidden zone.
So, the “official press release for questioning” actually already exists.
Regarding the matter of the ban on speech, our imagination may still need to be improved.
