In the past few days, whether the health code will reappear has become a disturbing online public opinion.
Many people suddenly found that the health code on their mobile phones is still there. Rumor has it that some provinces have begun to “relaunch” the health code.
The news is yet to be confirmed, but there’s no smoke without fire.
I sincerely hope that the claim of the health code’s “revival” is just a needless worry, or just a blind man telling fortunes, purely nonsense, rather than for some kind of adaptability test.
But at least one thing can be confirmed: health codes in various regions have not aligned with the “communication itinerary card” and have not been completely taken offline in a timely manner, bidding farewell to the historical stage. It seems to have been dormant in a perfectly intact state on the network application end.
Whether it will be reactivated and when it will jump out to show its power again is still unknown.
Seeing this thing, the first reaction is physiological nausea; then it feels like eating a dish of chicken feet stewed with thorns, which is prickly, bland, and disgusting.
Don’t tell me how this digital governance technology, which can be called a great invention, once protected everyone’s health. I will never accept this account, no thanks.
In my eyes, it is nothing more than a modern “trick”. Every time it turns yellow, yellow, and pops up, it has brought every ordinary person a hundred flavors, or even created so many heavy human tragedies and comedies.
It was once deeply bound to our lives, collecting and monitoring everyone’s information indiscriminately and on a large scale. The premise is to restrict individual rights in exchange.
Every normal person must prove that they are a “normal person” in a digital world constructed by a health code. The digital control of people from body to spirit has never been as “light and easy” yet deeply rooted as the health code.
It hurts people but they can’t find the wound, and they feel pain but can’t express it.
It has become a traumatic memory for the public. Its anxiety-inducing life experience will undoubtedly become the most profound collective memory of the whole people in the future.
We must ask, the mission undertaken by the health code has long been declared completed, why has it not been completely removed and the relevant data not been completely deleted?
It is reluctant to go offline from the application end in various regions, nothing more than because it is “easy to use” and “effective”, forming behavioral inertia and path dependence, trying to extend it to normalized public governance.
I am sure that someone has never lacked this strong impulse to transform this “precious thing” and use it for other purposes or scenarios – look how much you obeyed and how obedient you were back then, how can you easily abandon it?
To this day, they are still looking around: such a precise digital system should be transformed into municipal services. If so, you only need to answer: what is the legal authorization basis?
Laying ambushes and leaving tails, in the final analysis, is just a little “selfish calculation” in mind, trying to use the health code and its various variants to become a whip that can drive us out of our private lives and return to the “one-two-one” pace at any time.
Relying on a set of data models to govern and manage society, and using uniform, bland standards to curb the diversity of the entire social ecology and civilization, this is not the modernization of governance.
Letting the health code “retire with honor”, to put it bluntly, is to let it roll far away, which is not without a comforting and healing function for the current technological panic and social anxiety.
If the health code service function is not completely closed and all data is not deleted and destroyed, it will inevitably try to move and tear the scab of the public’s memory scar.
We must raise our hands like a forest to stop the health code from reappearing!
