The Hudson Institute in the United States released a report titled “China in the Post-Communist Era: Preparing for a Post-CCP China”, with a brief introduction by Yu Maochun. The report was written by experts in the fields of military, intelligence, economics, human rights, transitional justice, and constitutionalism, and explores the initial measures to be taken after the collapse of the CCP regime, as well as the long-term trajectory that China might take after a period of stability.
In the report, think tank scholars discussed topics including: how the United States can use special forces to stabilize the transition period after the collapse of the CCP, how to destroy the CCP’s biological weapons facilities to prevent proliferation, how to thoroughly reform China’s financial system to promote the re-prosperity of the Chinese economy, conduct military reforms to disband troops related to political repression, dismantle the secret police network and open archives for public scrutiny, protect human rights, prevent ethnic violence, civil war and political retaliation, establish a national truth and reconciliation commission, and a constitutional convention plan.
