In China, more and more workers are forced into a vicious cycle of overtime work: “6-11” classes in school as children, “12-hour two-shift system” when they grow up, and eventually collapse from overwork and are sent to the ICU. This phenomenon is vividly called the **overtime life cycle of “Chinese cattle and horses”**.
But its prevalence does not mean it is right. Behind this are the labor law that is on the verge of paralysis, the labor departments that have long turned a blind eye, and the trade unions that should have represented workers’ rights but have done nothing. Facing this reality, we can no longer choose to remain silent.
“Cattle and Horse ICU” – Exposing Sweatshops and Promoting Change
The latest project launched by the Li community – “Cattle and Horse ICU”, aims to collect a list of companies with overtime work across the country, to let the public know which companies are exploiting workers, and to put pressure on relevant departments to urge them to fulfill their duties and improve the living conditions of Chinese workers.
If you or someone around you has experienced overtime work, unpaid overtime, or poor working conditions, you can anonymously register the information of these companies to help more workers avoid these “sweatshops” and jointly promote social progress.

Unite and improve the living conditions of “cattle and horses”
If the labor departments and trade unions choose to turn a blind eye, then let us unite and force them to complete their jobs. Every registration and every exposure is a step towards putting pressure on sweatshops and inactive institutions. Let the “cattle and horses” live like human beings, not machines.
Share it and let more people know about this project and promote change together!
