Bamboo does not fall | Russia returns domestic chicken, some choices are more honest than words

Let’s talk about food.

Recently, it was reported that Russia, upon importing 22.4 tons of domestic chicken, claimed it did not meet Russian food safety standards, detecting excessive levels of chlortetracycline residue, and has dealt with it according to law.

The interesting point is that in the comment section of the report, almost all comments were subtly sarcastic.

“The exported quality is already the best.”

“Where can I buy some? I want to buy some. This might be the best quality domestically.”

“It’s back, let’s get some Russian imported chicken, the price will at least double.”

Seeing this full of mockery, I thought of a question. If some people firmly support their “good friend Russia” in their hearts. But at the same time, they also firmly believe that domestic products must be good, including food. The most important thing is that even if it’s not good, others can’t say it, otherwise they will become the “knife” in the hands of Western countries.

In this case, it’s a contradiction. The good friend not only refused what you sold him, but also spat and loudly said, “This is garbage”.

At this time, people’s hearts will instinctively choose one side to support, it’s either black or white, either blame Russia for not giving face, or despise the quality of the food.

Both are what they support, suddenly having to give up one of them, what will they choose?

I think, at this time, they will make the right choice, prejudice will correspondingly decrease, and they will be more inclined to some “facts”.

It’s roughly the “cognitive dissonance” in psychology. When a person believes two conflicting things at the same time, the brain will instinctively feel uncomfortable, so it must “correct” some of the cognition to make itself comfortable again.

At this moment, some things will be shattered, not because others attack it, but because it itself cannot withstand the reality’s pounding. Then, most people will make the right choice according to the facts. Propaganda, past concepts, and the image created, many will disappear.

People, or most people, will make common-sense judgments based on themselves. Even if they were still talking about principles yesterday, they can squat by the roadside today. This is a video I saw yesterday, also related to food.

On the outer wall of a middle school in Anhui, parents were squatting during the lunch break, they had no other intention, they were just there to deliver food. Students couldn’t come out to eat, but even with this seemingly not-so-decent way, a way that is not very comfortable to eat, they didn’t want their children to eat in the cafeteria.

Don’t get me wrong, this scene is quite spectacular.

Normally on the internet, some people might type, what’s wrong with the school cafeteria? Today’s children are just being pretentious. Being pretentious is not good, you need to be rough, only roughness can make you strong, if the youth is strong, the country is strong. Huh? When it comes to their own children, they start to contradict themselves, and they will make the right choice: what does it matter if they squat by the roadside, I will deliver food to my child even if I have to squat on a tree branch.

Here I have to praise this middle school, it is said that their attitude is that they don’t want parents to enter the school, fearing that special circumstances might occur. But they will neither drive them away nor make things difficult for them, but instead will clean up the garbage in the area after the students have finished eating, ensuring hygiene.

This point has already surpassed 80% of the schools. But at the same time, it also proves once again: it’s not tolerance, but an acquiescence to reality.

People can argue endlessly for abstract things because of their stance and concepts, but once it involves their own interests, the choice will become very specific and honest.

It’s a bit similar to what you often say in the comments, “the boomerang has flown back.”

Today’s topic is quite esoteric, a temporary idea. In short, my point is that people will make the right choice when the situation comes, because people’s most essential core goal is ultimately consistent – themselves. And, it’s also difficult for people to resist instinct in reality.

Cognition can be packaged, emotions can be performed, but the body and instinct are hard to lie. It’s the same with food, and it’s the same with making judgments.

So, many things seem very firm, but that’s just because they haven’t been hit by reality yet; once hit, the stance will loosen, the mouth will be silent, only the body is the most honest.
