Yesterday, a real-name report was filed, and today all the facts have been investigated?
The efficiency of Tangshan’s “investigation conclusion” this time is truly amazing and admirable…
Yesterday, Chen Zhiwei, a police officer who responded to the Tangshan barbecue restaurant beating incident, claimed that he had gone to another province and filed a real-name report, stating that as a grassroots police officer, he was forcibly convicted and framed by certain leaders during the handling of the case.
As soon as the news came out, it immediately sparked widespread attention.
However, in just one day, the department, with the signature of the “Tangshan Special Working Group”, issued an investigation conclusion notice “overnight”.
It is worth mentioning that this “authoritative notice” did indeed respond to all the questions, but the official response denied all the questions.
Let’s see how Tangshan responded – the notice says:
On August 5, the Tangshan Municipal Discipline Inspection Commission, the Municipal Public Security Bureau, the Municipal Procuratorate, the Municipal Court, and other departments formed a working group to investigate the problems reflected by Chen Zhiwei, a former police officer of the Lubei Branch of the Tangshan Municipal Public Security Bureau, through the Internet.
During the handling of the “06•10” barbecue restaurant beating case, Chen Zhiwei did not handle the case and enforce the law in accordance with the case handling regulations, and after discovering the main culprit Chen Jizhi in the hospital, he deliberately failed to perform his duties and allowed Chen Jizhi to leave, causing a bad social impact. After being tried according to law, he was convicted of abuse of power and sentenced to 1 year and 1 month in prison, and he did not appeal after the judgment.
Regarding Chen Zhiwei’s reflection on the illegal interrogation, forced conviction, failure to report, and delay of the appeal procedure by the case handlers, the working group conducted an investigation by reviewing the files, viewing the detention interrogation recordings, checking the transcripts, reviewing Chen Zhiwei’s confession, and talking with relevant personnel, and his reflections were not true.
Regarding his reflection that the actual police dispatch time was more than 10 minutes, and he was asked by relevant leaders to read the script “police dispatch in 5 minutes”, after investigation, it was found that he had discussed with the police officers (who have been dealt with according to law) to conceal the information before the interview and announced it to the public.
The official investigation conclusion is summarized in one sentence: all the problems reflected by Chen Zhiwei do not exist, and our handling is also without any problems.
So the question is, why did Chen Zhiwei go to other places to file a real-name report? What is the motive? Is he bored?

As can be seen from the reactions of netizens, the “investigation conclusion” hastily released by Tangshan this time not only did not quell public opinion, but instead triggered more doubts.
You know, he just reported it yesterday, and you came up with an investigation conclusion today – how did you investigate it? Who did you find? What materials did you check? Did you have time to contact the whistleblower Chen Zhiwei?
I really doubt that this “conclusion” was compiled and issued on a mobile phone while squatting on the toilet.
Tangshan is really not sincere at all!
So, let’s see what Chen Zhiwei actually reported? Recently, a real-name report on the Internet has attracted widespread attention from the outside world. The whistleblower is Chen Zhiwei, a police officer who responded to the “Tangshan barbecue beating” incident on June 10, 2022.

Chen Zhiwei claimed that he was subjected to illegal interrogation during the case handling, thus obtaining illegal transcripts.
In addition, Chen Zhiwei specifically pointed out that the transcripts completed by the case handlers at that time did not truthfully record the real situation of the 610 incident, deliberately concealed the truth, and finally made Chen Zhiwei, a grassroots police officer, take the blame and be forcibly convicted.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that Chen Zhiwei specifically stated that all his reports have audio and video recordings and WeChat chat record evidence, and he is legally responsible for his statements.
Do the problems reflected actually exist? These things really need to be investigated…
It is said that we should give full trust to the official authoritative investigation conclusion, but is Tangshan a little too hasty and rushed this time?
Finally, I suggest that the leaders of Tangshan consider taking it back and “notifying” it again?
