It is worth mentioning that Xue Wei and Tong Weidong are actually fellow students. Relevant information shows that they both studied under Lin Yaoji.
Lin Yaoji is a famous violin professor at the Central Conservatory of Music and a world-renowned outstanding music educator. From 1954 to 1960, he studied violin with Ma Sicong at the Central Conservatory of Music.
He graduated from the Central Conservatory of Music in 1960 and later went to the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in the Soviet Union to study, studying violin with violinist Yankelevich, specializing in violin performance and teaching methods.
From the same school, why did they fall out and report each other in anger? There is currently no authoritative news about the inside story.
A search revealed that there was a post by a Tieba netizen about the person being reported, Tong Weidong.

Many netizens responded with messages. Judging from the messages, there are both praise and criticism.
An interview entitled “Interview with Violin Educator Tong Weidong” published on January 26, 2015, wrote:
It was under the inspiration of Lin Yaoji and other older generation violin educators that Tong Weidong worked in the violin teaching position for more than 20 years…
The article also wrote:
Tong Weidong had long admired Professor Lin Yaoji. After returning from studying in Germany, he felt that as a teacher, he still had a lot to learn, so he went back to school again and, as a student and assistant of Professor Lin Yaoji, stayed by his side.
From this master, Tong Weidong felt the most deeply his love, persistence, and dedication to the cause of Chinese violin education.
At that time, Tong Weidong said: “Professor Lin’s influence on me is mainly in terms of personality and teaching. Professor Lin has a very good cultivation, is friendly, and is indifferent to fame and fortune. His teaching methods are lively, vivid, and easy to understand. He puts all his energy into his students, accompanies them to practice the piano every day, and studies together…” Speaking of his mentor, Professor Lin Yaoji, who had passed away five years ago, Tong Weidong was still full of admiration.
“For me, the best way to commemorate Professor Lin is to inherit his mantle and do the job of a violin teacher in a down-to-earth manner.”
