I really didn’t expect it, it’s been 3 days, and Sanhe is still trending on the hot search. And for 3 days, only the urban management department has been responding continuously, making it seem like all the blame lies with the urban management.
Doesn’t this place have superiors?
This approach is indeed unique. The leaders have the power to punish the urban management, and the urban management department takes the initiative to take responsibility for the leaders. Why bother punishing them? In this back-and-forth, the urban management department that comes out to respond and take the lead is so tough that it’s frightening.
Before the incident, they repeatedly went to the stores and demanded that the colors be changed. They even “watched the merchants change” on the spot.
After the incident, even though public opinion was overwhelming, they remained calm and unafraid. Not only did they not explain the reason for demanding that the merchants change the color at the time, but they also publicly said,
“If you’re not afraid of trouble and don’t mind the money, you can change it back to the original color.”

How arrogant and indifferent! They don’t think they have any problems at all. They previously demanded that the shops along the street change the color of their signs, and even the Red Cross of the hospital had to be changed to a “Blue Cross”… Even now, it’s a matter of course: as long as the leaders issue the order, you have to change it. Why do you need a reason? Use public opinion to force local leaders, then you can spend money to change it back. Let’s see who is more “troublesome” in the end.
That’s what it means, otherwise, they wouldn’t have made such a “absurd” response.
The arrogance of power is fully revealed.
In addition, there is another detail. According to local regulations and the responses from the past two days, this requirement of “must change color” seems to leave room for maneuver: it is not allowed to use red and blue backgrounds or words (meaning other colors can be chosen at will.)
I was very curious at the time, why did the people there all choose green? Isn’t it a free choice?
The key is that there is another sentence: it should match the entire street, and it should be unified with the city’s style.
With these two sentences added, the previous ones are all nonsense. Because at this moment, this unified color can be decided by a few people.
This also indirectly explains where the urban management’s calmness and confidence in the face of such public opinion come from. To be honest, from the shops along the street to the hospitals, to the fire trucks, and even to the core socialist values… all can be changed in color. The urban planning department doesn’t have this kind of energy yet.

So, what is the origin of such an absurd and unreasonable, seemingly ridiculous scene? Even the arrogance of power cannot be unreasonably fond of green, right?
I saw a saying that many leaders have mentioned promoting “high-end, green, and intelligent” content in their public speeches. Therefore, some people and their subordinates have redefined what “green” means in another almost absurd way.
It’s quite sad for such people to be leaders.
The green we understand, although it is also the environment, is limited to the mountains and rivers. But others are different, they have other views.
Of course, perhaps this is just the content translated by the subordinates themselves. But at least, the people above didn’t stop it. That’s a default.
Although the behavior is very stupid, the subordinates know it’s stupid and still rush in. Isn’t that the pleasure brought by power?
Correspondingly, ordinary people are busy with it, and in a situation where they are already in a state of financial difficulty, they continue to pay extra for ineffective labor, wasting time and money.
In fact, compared to hospitals and fire departments, I am more concerned about the first Mixue Ice Cream & Tea that changed to a green sign. When I couldn’t bear to drink a 20-yuan cup of water in the scenic area, this chain store provided a 4-yuan cup of iced lemonade, which was appreciated in the hot summer.
Therefore, individuals can see these things more clearly. The facade of that Mixue Ice Cream & Tea was originally operating peacefully. Suddenly, one day, they had to paint the sign green overnight, and then changed it back to red after the public opinion was exposed. Now the situation is getting bigger and bigger. The exhausted shop owner may have to start considering whether changing back to red will offend people, and whether to change it back to green again…
The building is still there, but the people are not awake, and the wind and rain are falling on the remaining lamps.
Behind the absurdity is a series of “over-the-top performances” and a “artistic creation” that adds to the troubles of ordinary people’s lives. From green signs to green crosses, and then to green fire trucks and green slogans, these are not planning, but using people’s lives as a canvas to paint on the spot.
The former is frantically pursuing technology. The latter, like the Mixue Ice Cream & Tea that has been changing back and forth, is only worthy of being exhausted.
