Last night, an article titled “Regarding the Epidemic, He Spoke 30 Truths” went viral on WeChat Moments. I’m generally not very interested in articles that are overly popular, because articles that truly delve into deep thought are inevitably not truly accepted by the masses, and it’s extremely difficult to go viral. Moreover, the title, which claims to be “truthful”, has a strong element of deception.
I didn’t want to read it at all, but I couldn’t resist the fact that some people in my WeChat Moments were giving it likes and praising it, just like watching street performers in the southern part of Beijing. What’s more, a friend who is usually quite clear-headed took the initiative to present this article to me for review, saying that the article was well-written and neutral, implying that it was the conscience of the industry and the light of China.
I wouldn’t have cared if I hadn’t read it, but after reading it, I was inexplicably furious, and my blood pressure shot up. Is this it? Can this kind of beautifully packaged, poisonous chicken soup article go viral? Really, not many people nowadays have any advanced judgment skills.
I told my friend my opinion, and she was particularly indignant, saying that if you think their article is garbage, then where exactly is it garbage? Is it because the raw materials themselves are rotten, or is it because the wrong seasonings were added during the cooking process?
With the attitude of learning from past mistakes to prevent future ones and saving people by curing their illnesses, I decided to take some time out of my busy schedule to refute these 30 seemingly fair but actually cunning “truths” that contain private agendas.
Consider me a mirror, and let these demons and monsters reveal their true forms today, as the epidemic is about to end.

The above is my point-by-point critical analysis and refutation of this poisonous chicken soup text that reeks of stale flavor. I really used my professional skills and all that I have learned. I have to say that this type of article, just like the new coronavirus, is highly contagious because it exploits human weaknesses. People who read the article are often moved to tears, and behind the tears and snot is the erosion and distortion of people’s cognitive abilities.
Compared to the usual cloying flattery and whitewashing, this article has a high level of technical content. Ordinary people, without particularly strong independent judgment and aesthetic sense, would find it difficult to detect the hidden agendas.
Exploiting human weaknesses, pulling one group and attacking another, using human sympathy to spread the logic that leaders are not easy either. Today, when the entire population is suffering from the trauma of the new coronavirus, and on the eve of the lifting of the epidemic, from a human perspective, forgiving the past is the psychological choice of many people, because many things are too shocking and too bitter to recall, so saying ‘forgive him, everyone is not easy’ can really achieve unexpected results.
What’s terrifying and imperceptible about this article is that everything in it is “constructive”, attempting to dilute all the reflections we should have had over the past three years with a rational tone. As ordinary people, you should be grateful to the country for protecting you for three years; as intellectuals, you should reflect on yourself, whether you are being too critical.
This is a very misleading piece of writing. It muddles through, caters to the mainstream tone, and tries to find a soft landing for itself, essentially obliterating all the tragedies, pains, deaths, doubts, reflections, criticisms, and struggles of the past three years, reducing them to a kind of nihilism without any value.
All I want to say is that rational centrists may be human, but they have no humanity.
Especially rational centrists with ulterior motives, they are the most inhumane of all.
When someone tells you that everything is the best arrangement, the most appropriate response is, go fuck yourself.
