Bench Society | Leaving aside stances and viewpoints, let’s see how many grammatical errors Zhou Xiaoping can make in one sentence

Just look at the sentence written by Zhou Xiaoping above. Yes, just this sentence.

Today’s article, I will only talk about a sentence from the perspective of language expression, to see how badly Zhou Xiaoping can write.

In the words of my elementary school Chinese teacher, this word choice and sentence construction is just like a dog gnawing.

Before the analysis, I will first talk about the writing background, so that everyone will understand why I only talk about the basic knowledge of the Chinese language.

Today, the voices of criticism against Zhou Xiaoping and his wife on the Internet are like a raging tide. The reason is that Zhou Xiaoping’s wife sang the song “Katyusha” in the ruins of the Mariupol Theater.

This is a big deal. Some people say that this is hurting the way of heaven and human relations, insulting the national image, hurting national feelings, and endangering overseas compatriots.

Regarding these statements, I have to express my attitude first – today, setting aside the stance, not talking about any views, only talking about language grammar issues.

Yes, I am doing this out of a desire to survive. I am really scared now, just want to live, and my account is safe.

In the afternoon, I saw that many self-media accounts had been destroyed because of this criticism of Zhou Xiaoping.

Therefore, I set aside my stance and views, and only want to give some sincere suggestions to the country on the use of people by analyzing Zhou Xiaoping’s level and ability.

As we all know, Comrade Zhou Xiaoping has been made into a famous contemporary Chinese writer, and he belongs to the kind that is favored by the government. Now, he has a very high power status, has a place in the court, and the halo on his head is simply fantastic and dazzling.

But, as a folk writer who loves Chinese language and characters, I want to sincerely say that Zhou Xiaoping’s Chinese level is so poor that it has reached a non-human level.

I can responsibly say that Zhou Xiaoping’s articles, just from the grammar and rhetoric, can be called a national shame and are seriously hurting national feelings.

So, today, taking the sentence recommended by Zhou Xiaoping at the beginning as an example, let’s talk about how poor the language expression level of Zhou Xiaoping, who once participated in the National Literary and Art Work Symposium and served as the chairman of the first Internet Writers Association of Sichuan Province, is.

Error 1:

I firmly support my wife’s brave and fearless behavior, her artistic action…

The first half says “fearless behavior”, and the second half says “artistic action”.

Behavior and action are not the same, the difference lies in whether there is intentionality, whether there are subjective and objective “purposes” and “motives”.

Even if you don’t understand such basic word meanings, I am not too exaggerated to say that Zhou Xiaoping is illiterate.

Error 2:

Her artistic action can be called: battlefield rose

This is a typical case of improper grammatical matching, which does not meet the requirements of symmetry. “Artistic action” is a subject-predicate structure phrase, and “battlefield rose” is a partial-and-principal structure phrase.

Anyone with a basic ability to express themselves knows that this expression is a typical grammatical error.

So, I suspect that Zhou Xiaoping’s Chinese was taught by a butcher.

Even if Zhou Xiaoping wrote like this: Her artistic action can be called **“battlefield opening screen”**, it is also grammatically correct.

Hey, just find a rural bumpkin who hasn’t read a book, and just say a word, it’s more expressive and literary than Zhou Xiaoping’s.

Error 3:

I am waiting for her triumphant return in Moscow.

I am waiting for her triumphant return in Moscow.

Still don’t understand the basic semantics, “triumphant”, triumphant means returning victoriously, here is the mistake of semantic repetition.

I especially emphasize that the current textbooks clearly state that “triumphant return” is a grammatical error.

Error 4:

I am waiting for her triumphant return in Moscow.

Still this sentence, the word “of” in “waiting for her triumphant return” is completely superfluous, using it is a grammatical error, which is a typical mixture, causing semantic ambiguity.

It should have been “I am waiting for her triumph in Moscow”, but it was written in this dog-gnawing way, no, it’s like maggots arching, I think, in the Chinese writing world, no one can be so unbearable except Zhou Xiaoping.

Error 5:

The punctuation marks in this sentence, from semicolons to parentheses, are all wrong.

In this regard, I really don’t want to take it apart, just find an elementary school student, and they can explain the reasons clearly.

……

The behavior has come to this point, some people may say that this analysis is nitpicking.

I’m sorry, I can only say that I fully understand the psychology of becoming shameless because of ignorance. And Zhou Xiaoping is exactly the feeder of ignorance and anti-intellectualism.

Don’t think that Zhou Xiaoping’s writing of a sentence is completely nonsensical, it’s just an isolated case.

Let’s take a look at his reply to a netizen:

Still setting aside the stance and views, only from the perspective of Chinese language and literature, I can only say that human language has become beast language.

Today, I have simply analyzed the grammar of Zhou Xiaoping’s statement for his wife’s singing of “Katyusha”, but I sighed to the sky.

What is full of mistakes, what is semantically incoherent, what is a syntactic error?** I suggest that Chinese teachers across the country boldly use Zhou Xiaoping as a case for analysis.**

This may be Zhou Xiaoping’s greatest contribution to Chinese writing.

Zhou Xiaoping’s Chinese writing has seriously trampled on modern Chinese grammar, formed a huge insult to the national language and characters, and to put it bluntly, is hurting national feelings.

For this reason, I strongly suggest that for such a national key protected talent who is favored by the government, it is time to re-examine and control his ability level, and it is time to re-evaluate his public expression rationally.

Otherwise, it will hurt the people and the national character.

Today’s article, I set aside my stance and views, purely talk about grammar and rhetoric, just to express the worry and fear of a folk writer who loves the national language and characters.

Is it true that our great country, our magnificent China, really has no talent if Zhou Xiaoping is used as a senior talent? Or is it a sudden and shocking mistake in the country’s use of people?

Of course, if you think that I am just one person’s opinion, just taking Zhou Xiaoping’s sentence as a case for analysis, it is not objective and fair, then I strongly suggest that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the China Writers Association, and the National Language Commission and other ministries and commissions, can coordinate with authoritative experts in modern Chinese, as well as representatives of the Mao Dun Literature Prize and Lu Xun Literature Prize, to form a joint investigation team to comprehensively examine Comrade Zhou Xiaoping’s level and ability from the basic norms of language and characters, and give the people of the whole country an objective and fair talent level evaluation result.

In fact, even I myself can’t believe it. It’s already the 21st century, and this important talent used by the country is actually so LOW.

The use of people in a big country is of great importance. A national professional action is urgently needed to examine whether Zhou Xiaoping’s public expression of language and characters is a typical case of intellectual disability!
